Downloading your personal data, uploads, & designs

Downloading or saving designs to your device

Download or save a copy of your design to your computer or mobile device.

If you used premium elements, you’ll be asked to pay for them before downloading. You can also download a watermarked draft to preview your design before paying.

Desktop

  1. On the editor menu bar, click the share button
  2. Click Download
  3. On the dropdown, choose a file type for your download. Learn more about the supported download file types.
  4. If your design has multiple pages, select the pages you want to download from the dropdown, and click Done.
  5. Click Download.
  6. If your design has premium elements, click on the More icon (beside Try Canva for Pro/Teams for free) and then on Purchase Pro Content License. Select your preferred payment method and click Pay and Download to finish.

    You can find your design in your device’s assigned download folder.


Mobile app

  1. Tap the Export icon from the editor menu bar.
  2. Tap Download
  3. On the dropdown, choose a file type for your download. Learn more about the supported download file types.
  4. If your design has multiple pages, select the pages you want to download from the dropdown, and tap Done.
  5. Tap Download
  6. If your design has premium elements, click on the ․․․ More icon (beside Try Canva for Pro/Teams for free) and then on Purchase Pro Content License. Select your preferred payment method and click Pay and Download to finish.
  7. Select where to save or share your design. If this step doesn’t appear, you can find your design in your device’s photo gallery.

For a successful download on iOS devices, make sure you have at least 50MB of storage available on your device.


If you’re having problems downloading your design, head over to I can’t download my design or video or Lines, texts, or images moved during download for solutions.

    Export your personal data, uploaded content and Canva designs to a portable ZIP file format. You can download your uploaded images, videos, fonts, and designs.

    Personal data comprises your first and last name, email, phone number, and profession. If you gave us these details, they will be included in the download.

    Downloading all your uploads and designs in bulk is available on desktop only.

    If you’re part of a team, only the team owner can download uploads and designs made in the team.

    Step 1: Request to download uploads and designs in Account Settings

    After requesting the download, you won’t be able to delete your account. If you’d like to delete your account, wait until the download completes.

    1. From the homepage, click
    1. Settings.
    2. In the Account settings page, click Login & Security.
    3. Depending on the account type, go to Download your Canva uploads and designs, or if part of a team, Download your Canva team uploads and designs.
    4. Click Request to download.

    Step 2: Wait for an email from Canva about the status of your request

    Check your inbox for an email from Canva saying your uploads and designs are ready for download.

    • If you didn’t receive an email yet

    Exporting user content may take 24-72 hours, depending on the amount of content. If it’s taking longer than 72 hours, contact our Support team.

    • If you got an email saying we’re unable to create a copy of all your uploads and designs
    1. Download the file and check what’s missing.
    2. If there are missing designs, look for them from your Projects page. Try to download them from the editor one by one.
    3. If you can’t find the missing designs on your Projects page, contact us within 14 days of receiving the link so we can look into it for you.

    Step 3: Download and save the file

    1. Go back to your Account settings page, and click Download. The download link will be available for 14 days.
    2. In Your Canva download window, you’ll see separate files for easy downloading. This is based on the number of uploads and designs on your account.
    3. Click on the file/s to start exporting.
